Android app installation

Installing jap77 on Android is straightforward. Visit the jap77 website on your phone or tablet, scroll to the App section, and tap "Download for Android". Your browser will save the APK file — you may see a security warning because the app comes from an external source (not Google Play Store). This is normal for direct-distribution apps. Go to Settings → Apps & Notifications → Install from Unknown Sources and enable it for your browser. Then return to the Downloads folder, tap the jap77 APK file, and confirm the installation. The app requests permissions for: account login, photo access (for KYC uploads), and push notifications. Grant only what you need. Once installed, tap the jap77 icon to launch — you can log in with your account or open a new one directly from the app. Updates are pushed automatically when available.

iOS access notes

iPhone and iPad users access jap77 via the mobile browser — we do not currently offer an App Store application due to platform restrictions. Open Safari (or any iOS browser), navigate to jap77.net, and bookmark the site for quick access. Once logged in, tap the Share button and select "Add to Home Screen" to create an app-like shortcut. This puts an icon on your home screen that launches jap77 in full-screen mode, mimicking a native app experience. The web app runs smoothly on iOS 12 and newer. Permissions for camera (KYC verification photos) and microphone (live-dealer chat) are requested when needed — approve or deny on a case-by-case basis. Safari's Reader mode is compatible if you want to read game rules in a cleaner format. Use Face ID or Touch ID to speed up login if your device supports it.

Web app and browser version

The jap77 web app runs on any modern browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Opera. No plugins or extensions are required. Performance is fastest on Chrome and Firefox because they handle video streaming and animated graphics more efficiently. On Safari (iOS and macOS), the experience is equally smooth but video quality may be slightly lower due to platform codec limitations. You can log in on multiple devices simultaneously — your account balance, game history, and settings sync instantly. If you play on a desktop during the day and switch to your phone in the evening, your session picks up where you left off. For account security, log out after each session if you are using a shared or public device. The web app is slightly more compact than the Android app because it lacks device-level integrations (like push notifications), but all core features are identical.

Data usage and optimisation

Playing live games consumes data depending on stream quality and game type. Live-dealer video streams use 2–4 MB per hour on standard quality (recommended for 4G).
